We were re-booked to Reef and Beach Resort - this review is thus for Read and Beach Resort, and not for Paradise Beach Resort. We stayed at Paradise Beach in September 2022 and loved it - you are welcome to read my review rating Paradise Beach from September 2022. Reef and Beach is a very large resort, located in the South East south of Jambiani. It is part of the Paradise group, which also owns and runs Paradise Beach and Zansibar Bay. Reef and Beach has one large pool and one small pool, and three bars. The jetty bar is open 24/7. The huge jetty which is located in the most beautiful turquoise water is the main drawcard of Reef and Beach, together with the mangrove forest and the cute monkeys. It’s possible to swim in the ocean and around the jetty it is really extremely scenic. The rooms are average …a bit dark and not so upmarket…but overall completely adequate. The food is amazing, buffet style with a huge variety and never ending supply. All inclusive drinks are good and tasty. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. This is a large resort, many people which is great for socializing and just being in a huge crowd of interesting people from all kinds of Nationalities. Really enjoyed the Spa and can recommend the Cleopatra treatment. The closest beach to kitesurf is in Jambiani. Just outside is a small shop run by Fatma, which also sells the Adidas Zanzibar soccer jerseys. The WiFi is very good most of the time, I got speeds of up to 60 MB/second which I believe is more than enough when beach holidaying.

The vibes of the resort are amazing. There are many places to relax and just chill and forget about the world. My favorite place was the far end of the deck. The rooms are comfy, and the view is a life changer. There was a pop up outdoor cinema, that was pretty cool, and we found out about it by chance while we were roaming around. The food was great, three delicious meals per day, felt like home 😅 the staff are very nice, the manager Ms. Marilyn I think, I'm not sure I got it right, she's a magnificent person. Mr. Nestori is also a really great person. And the Arabic chef is extremely amazing. All the staff were very cool. Overall, if I ever went back to Zanzibar, I'm definitely going to stay there.

Really enjoyed my 5 nights here as a solo traveller, a very calm relaxing place with plenty of variety, bars/pools/restaurant options. The food was exceptional and plenty of vegan/veggies item. Especially the local dishes in the clay pots. These were my go to's every afternoon and evening. Having stayed in Nungwi for a week before I would definitely recommend seeing more of the island rather than just staying here in Murimbi as you don't get the full Zanzibar experience however Paradise resort and Spa is a very good relaxing place to be. Great value for money and definitely recommend full board/all inclusive!

The food was surprising, good considering the island logistics. We enjoyed our stay, and the all-inclusive option was brilliant. the Staff were always friendly which made up for any challenges the hotel had. I would definitely recommend the hotel based on value. There are very good alternate eating options if you get tired of main buffet. We used the hotel excursions next to reception to do tours of island. I would recommend the snorkeling trip to Mebe island in the north. Remember to budget this into your stay. You are look at 60 USD for a day trip.

Paradise is a very aesthetically pleasing resort on a nice beach. The weather was amazing in August. The resort is clean and well maintained, the staff are well trained and pleasant. I liked the quality of the food as well. Many props to the mixologists, their cocktails are very good! You should book the all-inclusive option, you might just get upgraded to premium! I think the animation team could poll guests about activities they would like, they had low turn outs often.
